Cyber Japanesque Unit KANADE was created in June 1993 in Kyoto, Jpana. The central figure is composed of the keyboardist OKA-RIUICHIRO and the shakuhachi player VAN-EYSHO. Later on new members join in the band to expand Kanade's activities.
Six albums have been officialy released: "奏-Kanade-BENTENICITY" (1993), "Visions Of Kyoto" (1997), "Synthetic Nature" (1999), "Moon-Womb" (2001), "Neue" (2002), and "Neuron Drive" (2005).
KANADE's music is an original and fine 'mélange' of traditional Japanese instruments such as shakuhachi, samisen and koto with 80's technopop atmospheres under the influences of legendary bands like YMO and KRAFTWERK.
KANADE's tunes can be heard on HD television programs (NHK) and in JR (Japan Railway) train stations of Osaka and Kyoto.
The band is getting an increasing interest from the music magazines and definitely should be playing a major part in the new Japanese music scene.
