Adam has been at the vanguard of electronic music for 12 years now having gotten his start DJing at underground raves and on influential Minneapolis radio shows such as REV 105's Radio Depth Probe and KFAI's Strictly Butter.
Always striving to pursue new artistic avenues, he began producing his own music and curating his own club night, Hello Music. Adam Johnson's current artistic credentials include releases on Warp Records, Musik Aus Strom, Global Underground, the Narita label, and his full length album, Chigliak, on Merck Records. His inventive and emotionally compelling tracks have found favor with world class DJ's such as Sasha, John Digweed, Way Out West, Michael Mayer and Paul van Dyk and have wound up on several of their mix CDs. Advertising agencies have also licensed Adam's music to such esteemed clients as BMW, PBS, Channel 4 UK, and the BBC.
Adam has toured extensively and has played shows from New York to London to Berlin to Sydney. Seismic shifts are in the works as Adam will be taking over business and creative operations for the record label Narita. Adam is fiercely commited to grabbing this damn label by the lapels and tossing it unceremoniously into bold new creative techno directions for 2006 and beyond.
